Distribution	New Zealand, North Island (Taranaki, King Country, Rotorua)
Reproduction	ovovivparous
Types	Neotype: WRM 60/366 (= the holotype of Leiolopisma latilinearum), designated by HARDY 1977. Holotype originally lodged in Colonial Museum, Wellington, fide Hutton, 1872; now lost.

Etymology	Named after Latin stria = groove, often for stripe or line.
