Type locality: "Seven miles south of Valles, San Luis Potosi, Mexico."  
Reproductionviviparous (inferred from other members of the genus) 
TypesHolotype: LSUM 4886, female (Louisiana State Univ. Mus. Zool.) 
CommentKnown from only 4 specimens (BRYSON & GRAHAM 2010). 
EtymologyThe specific epithet is composed ofthe Latin words in, meaning "not" and comptus meaning "neat," which in combination allude to being unadorned or unkempt, probably in reference to the absence of neck bars (Lemos-Espinal & Dixon 2013).
