DistributionZimbabwe, Republic of South Africa (N Transvaal), E Botswana, W Mozambique (S Blinkwater/Brak River)

Type locality: Blinkwater, Brak River, Zoutpansberg District, Northern Transvaal.  
Reproductionoviparous; sex ratios are strongly female-biased across the entire range of viable temperatures (Straková et al. 2024) 
TypesHolotype: DNMNH (= TM), Ditsong National Museum of Natural History, Pretoria.
Holotype: MCZ 31575 [rhodesianus]
