DiagnosisDiagnosis: A small, rupiculous Pachydactylus with a rounded body form and a maximum SVL of 31.27 mm (MUHNAC/ MB03-001801). Dorsum atuberculate, with smooth, flat, rounded, and subimbricate granules. OrbD smaller than EyeEar. Rostral (and often first supralabial) included in nostril rim. Tail unsegmented, with subimbricate scalation. Interdigital webbing absent; digits free, with 3–4 undivided subdigital lamellae. Dorsum pale brown with dark and irregular pattern, without pale bands or spots. Within the “northwestern” clade of Pachydactylus, Pachydactylus namibensis can be easily distinguished from P. angolensis, P. boehmei, P. gaiasensis, P. maiatoi, P. oerophilus, P. otaviensis, P. parascutatus, P. sansteynae, and P. scutatus by the absence of keeled, enlarged dorsal tubercles (vs. presence). It differs from P. bicolor, P. caraculicus, P. maraisi, P. ovahimba, new species, P. punctatus, and P. scherzi in its dorsal color pattern without pale spots, transverse bands, or blotches (vs. well-defined crossbands in P. caraculicus and P. ovahimba, new species; somewhat irregular bands or blotches in P. bicolor and P. scherzi; and scattered spots in P. maraisi and P. punctatus). It further differs from P. maraisi in body shape (rounder in cross- section vs. flattened), having an unsegmented tail (vs. segmented), and fewer subdigital lamellae (3–4 vs. 5–7); and from P. punctatus by having the rostral included in nostril rim (vs. excluded in P. punctatus) and distalmost subdigital lamellae undivided (vs. distalmost lamellae divided in P. punctatus).
