Distribution | Peninsula de Barahona, west to Dominico-Haitian border, north to Barahona, República Dominicana.
Type locality: 13.1 mi Sw Enriquillo, Pedernales Prov., Dominican Republic (17.7939, -71.3753; 8 m).

Diagnosis | Diagnosis (aporus): A subspecies of D. curtissi characterized by large size (females to 82 mm snout-vent length, males unknown), high number of ventral and midbody scales, high number of fourth toe lamellae, light metallic dorsum with lateral band black anteriorly and fading posteriorly, dorsal pattern consisting of faint indications of nuchal lines or a patternless or faintly dotted dorsum, and chin and throat with faint gray markings.
