Holotype: ZISP 19385, adult male, “South-western Tadjikistan, vicinity of the Dashti-Khonako in the Surkhku mountain ridge near Nurek, 1500 m. a.s.l.” Leg: V. T. Rzepakovsky, 25.X.1977. Paratypes: ZFMK 37001 (ex-ZIL 19387), male, “chrebet Surchku, okrestnosti kischlaka Daschti-Chonako, 900 m" (= Surchku Mountains, near the “kischlak" or settlement Dashti-Chonako), Tajikistan, collected by V.T. RZHEPAKOVSKY, 26 October 1977; ZISP, MTD, ZMB [Agama chernovi] 
DiagnosisDiagnosis (as Paralaudakia). Head and body depressed; tail longer, two or more than two times that of SVL; patch of strongly mucronate scales on flanks and groups of spinose scales on neck and sides of head; three whorls of enlarged spinose scales in each segment; callous glands only in males [BAIG et al. 2012].
 
CommentSynonymy: Mostly after BAIG et al. 2012. Das (1997) and Golubev (1998) synonymized Laudakia chernovi with Laudakia bochariensis. According to BAIG 1992 many records of L. himalayana are referable to this species. SMITH 1935 considered Agama isozona as a synonym of L. himalayana.

Distribution: only in Tadjikistan and Uzbikistan fide BAIG et al. 2012. 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
