Type locality: Montagne de Francais (between 12°19’17”S, 49°20’13’’ E, 174 m elevation, and 12°19’34”S, 49°20’09’’ E), northern Madagascar.

Diagnosis 
CommentSympatric with P. karstophila and P. stumpffi.

SVL max 80 mm. 
EtymologyNamed after the Malagasy words “loha” (= head) and “tsara” (= beautiful or good).
