Distribution	Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic (possibly Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Republic of Congo (Brazzaville), and Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire) Type locality: see comment.

Comment	Distribution: Not listed by BROADLEY & POYNTON 1998 for the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire). Not in Angola fide Marques et al. 2018. For a map with localities in Equatorial Guinea see SÁNCHEZ-VIALAS et al. 2022. Terra typica: "Madagascar" (in error). Habitat: freshwater (Lakes, quiet rivers)
