angularis: NW Madagascar (Antsohihi, Befotaka, Maromandia); Type locality: Antsohihi, east of the Baie de Narinda, NW Madagascar.

Type locality: Nossi Be = Nosy Bé.  
Reproductionoviparous; shows temperature-dependent sex determination (TSD) (Budzinski 1999) 
TypesLectotype: SMF 9475 (also cited as SMF 94754; formerly 4215b); paralectotypes: NMW, ZFMK.
Holotype: SMF 59370, male [angularis] 
Diagnosis 
CommentMember of the Phelsuma laticauda (phenetic) group (GLAW, VENCES & ZIEGLER 1999).

Distribution: see map in Gehring et al. 2010. 
Etymologynamed after its broad tail (Latin “latus” = broad or wide, Latin “cauda” = tail).
