Comment	Species grup: Member of the Phelsuma lineata (phenetic) group (GLAW, VENCES & ZIEGLER 1999). Synonymy. Recently, chloroscelis and bifasciata have been suggested to be synonyms of P. lineata (Hallmann, cited in ANDERS 2008). Etymology	Named after the punctate pattern on the dorsal side.
