| Etymology | Named after Konstantin Nikolaevich Rossikow (often Rossikov) (b. 1854), a zoologist, ichthyologist, arachnologist, and "zoographer." He graduated from the University of St. Petersburg and traveled in the Northern Caucasus region (1890), where he mentioned seeing "multi-colored" vipers. |
