Type locality: between Nushki and Helmand (border between Afghanistan and Baluchistan).

TypesSyntypes: BMNH 1946.8.28.44-49 (was BMNH 86.9.21.62-64) and BMNH 1946.8.28.36-38 (was BMNH 86.9.21.69-71); ZISP 7363 (was BMNH cnu). 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: About 30 scales from eye to eye across head; nasals in contact or partly
separated; nostrils directed more or less directly forward; dorsal scales heterogeneous, enlarged scales strongly keeled, imbricate, flat, not tuberculate, posterior border not sharply upturned; sides of back of head and neck with long, flat, upturned fringe-like scales; both sides of fourth toe with long, well-developed fringes. Tail 85-102 percent of snout-vent length (Anderson 1999: 89).

CommentNot in India according to KHAN 1999. DAS (1997) mentions it but presently doubtful for India. Not in Iran fide ŠMÍD et al. 2014 (lizard checklist Iran).
