Diagnosis | Diagnosis: This P. baurii differs from the nominal race in having a significantly lower number of interorbital and midbody scales and, moreover, in having a significantly (Gardner near Hood) or perhaps significantly (Hood) lower number of scales across the snout and enlarged head scales. The supranasals are in contact more often (50%) than in the nominal race (10%). It differs from all the sufficiently known P . galapagensis populations in having a significantly lower number of scales across the snout, postmentals, enlarged head scales and ventral scales.
