CommentAbundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin transversalis, transverse [“...8 distinct broad chocolate brown transverse bars from base of head to base of tail...”]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
