CommentSubspecies: Phyllodactylus baurii gorii LANZA 1973 has been elevated to full species status by TORRES-CARVAJAL et al. 2014. 
EtymologyNamed after Georg Herman Carl Ludwig Baur (1859-1898), German biologist, who also worked at Yale (1884-1890) and other places in the United States.
