Type locality: Argentina (Rio Negro), Somuncura Plateau, Raimundo Lagoon, 1400 m [41° 21’ S, 66° 58’ W]

Diagnosis 
CommentFull species fide ETHERIDGE 1995.

Diet: herbivorous

Group: This species belongs to the patagonicus group (fide LOBO et al. 2010) or the somuncurensis group (MORANDO et al. 2013). The somuncurensis group contains P. ceii, P. somuncurensis, P. sinervoi, P. etheridgei (Marin et al. 2022).
