Type locality: Chieng-kuang (= Xiengkhouang Province), Laos

TypesSyntypes: MNHN-RA 1928.0065-0066 (2 syntypes) 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: Differs from blakewayi as follows: Temporals 1+2; 6 supralabials, 3rd and 4th touching the eye, 5th and 6th largest. Scales distinctly oblique. Ventrals 108-129 ; C. 20-28, paired. (Smith 1943: 326)

EtymologyNamed after Dr. Jean Theodore Delacour (1890-1985), a French-American ornithologist who was born in Paris and died in Los Angeles.
