Type locality: "Insel Sarso, Farsan-Archipel, Rotes Meer, SW-Arabien."

CommentStatus unclear. Not mentioned in recent checklists (e.g. Leviton et al. 1992). Not mentioned for Arabia by Egan 2007. Only known from the holotype. 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality, Sarso Island.
