Type locality: 3 miles north of Colonia Chuhuichupa, Chihuahua, Mexico.

CommentSynonymy partly after LEGLER & WEBB 1960. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin multi = "many," and lineatus = "marked with lines", referring to the many-lined color pattern.
