Type locality: Peru, Dpartamento de Huánuco, Palma Pampa, 3010 m elevation (9° 53’ 14’’ S, 75° 53’ 21’’ W).

EtymologyNamed after Monika Laudahn, a technician at the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt, Germany, in honor of her contributions to herpetology.
