CommentNomenclature: Temnorhynchus is pre-occupied by a beetle genus.

Synonymy: partly after LOVERIDGE 1958.

Subspecies: Prosymna sundevalli lineata (PETERS 181) is now considered as a valid species.

Distribution not correced for removal of lineata.

Diet: reptile eggs 
EtymologyNamed after Dr. Carl Jakob Sundevall (sometimes Sundewall) (1801-1875), a zoologist, ornithologist, and arachnologist. His doctorate in zoology was from Lunds Universitet (1823).
