Type locality: Siwa, Siwa Oasis, Western Desert Governorate, Egypt.

TypesHolotype: FMNH 75092. 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: A Psammophis with a stripe on the side of the head, running through the eye; belly finely punctulated; males with 188-199 ventrals and 17-19 scale rows at mid-body (from MARX 1958).
