Type locality: S. Bento, Santa Catarina, Brazil.  
TypesHolotype: IBSP (= IB) 7807, female 
CommentHabitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).

MELO-SAMPAIO et al. 2020 tentatively included arnaldoi within Pseudablabes (based on morphology) although they did not have any molecular data. 
EtymologyNamed after Arnaldo França, Amaral's technical assistant.
