Diagnosis | Diagnosis:-A Pseudoacontias with rudimentary flaplike hind limbs without toes; two supraoculars, first one elongated and in contact with parietal; frontonasal quadrangular; subocular not significantly taller than other supralabials; interparietal triangular, isosceles, with shorter transverse base bordering frontal; 34 scale rows. Comment | Limb morphology: Has only flap-like, styliform hind limbs but no forelimbs. Only known from a single specimen. Description: Barboza du Bocage is the only person known to have examined the holotype before it was lost. Because Barboza du Bocage's (1889:125) description was written in French in a journal that is not readily accessible, and for comparative purposes, a complete translation of his description is offered here.
