Type locality: Rancho Grande, Parque Nacional Henri Pittier, 12 km NW NW of Maracay, Aragua, Venezuela.

Diagnosis 
CommentPrevious records of P. lunulatus may be in fact Pseudogonatodes manessi. 
EtymologyNamed after Scott J. Maness, who accompanied M. Hoogmoed while collecting in Rancho Grande. Scott Maness died fighting a forest fire in Florida.
