Diagnosis | Diagnosis: A large, short legged, chocolate-red colored species of Pseudotrapelus with white ocelli on the dorsum (up to 8 dorsal scales per white ocelli, each white ocelli with dark chocolate red marbling), with the 3rd toe longer than the 4th, with 16 lamellae under the 4th toe, with 6 unseparated well developed precloacal pores in males, and with no enlarged scales in the occipital area of the head and dorsum. |

Etymology | The new species is named in honor of distinguished Polish archeologist Dr. Marek Chłodnicki, the Chief of the Polish Archeological Expedition of the International Archeological Mission in Sudan during archeological excavations before opening the new dam in IV cataract of the Nile River (northern Sudan). The only archeologist who respect present biological field study survey of the recent fauna of this unique region and accept to participate in archeological team also zoologist Jan Śmiełowski. |
