Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Typhlops marxi can be distinguished from all other Philippine scolecophidians by unique combination of 30 midbody scale rows, snout having a horizontal transverse edge, and type T-0 supralabial imbrication pattern. In addition, it is unusual in presence of V-shaped transversely enlarged interparietal and multicameral tracheal lung with type B foramina. (Wallach 1993) |
