Commentonly known from San Cristobal and Bougainville Is. but could be present on any of the intervening islands such as Choiseul, Santa Isabel, New Geogia of Guadalcanal. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin mansuetus = tame, gentle, apparently as a reference to Miss Joan Procter who made drawings of R. cumingii and sent them to Barbour for comparisons.
