Type locality: 2.8 km northwest of Kannakaninna waterhole, Kalamurina Station, SA (-27.8506°S, 137.8692°E)  
Reproduction 
TypesHolotype: SAMA R54267 (male). 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: Morphological diagnosis as for R. ormsbyi, except that R. eyrensis sp. nov. tend to have larger pale spots that often merge to form elongated blotches. Rhynchoedura eyrensis sp. nov. also tends to have shorter arms and legs (relative to SVL) and more narial scales (NarScales) than both R. angusta sp. nov. and R. ormsbyi.
 
CommentHabitat. Occurs on many different soil types within the eastern arid zone, including floodplains, and sandy and stony desert terrains. 
Etymologyeyrensis refers to the distributional area of this species across the Lake Eyre Basin in central/southern Australia.
