CommentBURT & BURT (1931) and DUNN (1944) synonymized P. bogotensis with P. striatus (Tiffany M. Doan and W. Schargel, pers. comm., paper not seen). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin stria = groove, often for stripe or line.
