DiagnosisUnfortunately we had to temporarily remove additional information as this was scraped by multiple AI companies who sell that data to their customers. CommentSynonymy: COGGER 1983 synonymized Mocoa spectabilis with Lampropholis challengeri (= Saproscincus challengeri). Sadlier et al. (1993) claimed that Mocoa spectabilis de Vis, 1888 was a senior synonym of Lampropholis basiliscus Ingram & Rawlinson, 1981, and thus the available name for the taxon. This was based on their identification of the 'lectotype' of Mocoa spectabilis (Queensland Museum specimen QMJ19743), which was declared by Wells & Wellington (1985). QM J255, QM J19742-3are S. basiliscus [INGRAM 1994].
