Type locality: 13 km NW of Yécora, Sonora, Mesa del Campanero, along the road Santa Rosa-Yécora.  
Reproductionviviparous (not imputed, fide Zimin et al. 2022) 
TypesHolotype: MZFC 15429, adult male; paratypes: MZFC, UCM, UBIPRO 
Diagnosis 
CommentNot listed (and thus probably not recognized) by WIENS et al. 2010. Not described in a scientific journal and thus not recognized according to WIENS et al. 2013 (supplement).

Habitat: open pine forest

Distribution: Not in Sinaloa but possibly there (Lemos-Espinal & Smith 2020). 
EtymologyNamed after Julio Alberto Lemos-Espinal (b. 1959), a Mexican herpetologist.
