| Comment | Limb morphology: Belongs to the didactyle S. bidigittatus group. This species lost its forelimb entirely and retains only two digits on the hind limb. |
| Etymology | Named after Latin bi = two, and Latin digitus = finger, toe, for the small and rudimentary hind limbs that have only two minute clawed digits. |
