tetradactyla: E Tanzania, south to Malawi

hemptinnei: W Tanzania (near Ujiji), west to Congo (Zaire); Type locality: Lukafu, Kundelungu, Shaba Province, Zaire.

Diagnosis 
CommentLimb morphology: Reduced limbs. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin “tetra” = four, and “dactylus” = digit. Sepsina tetradactyla hemptinnei has been named after “Son Excellence Révérendissime Monseigneur DE HEMPTINNE, Vicaire Apostolique du Katanga. Je tiens à lui exprimer ici ma vive reconnaissance pour l'aide si efficace qu'il a bien voulu m'apporter dans l'accomplissement de ma mIssion.” (de WITTE 1933).
