CommentSibynophis bivittatus is very similar to S. geminatus. GAULKE (1993) therefore suggested to treat S. bivittatus as subspecies of S. geminatus. 
EtymologyNamed after “bi-” = two or dual and Latin “vitta, -ae” = band or stripe.
