Type locality: Tirhut, Bengal  
Reproductionoviparous 
TypesHolotype: BMNH 60.3.19.12.68, "Bengal, Tirhoot" (= Tirhut, also known as Trihuta, Tirabhukti, Bideha, Mithila and Nichchhan, in Muzaffarpur, 26º 07'N; 85º 24'E). The register lists the specimen as from Pinang (= Pulau Penang, West Malaysia; in error).

Diagnosis 
CommentDistribution: Reports from Gujarat were actually S.subpunctatus but Vyas (2007) erroneously listed subpunctatus as sagittarius, hence Patel & Vyas 2019 exclude this species from their list of Gujarat.
