TypesHolotype: unlocated; may be in the Hunterian Collection of the Royal College of Surgeons (J. Campbell, pers. comm. 21 May 2014). Not in MNHN fide BRYGOO 1987. 
Diagnosis 
CommentStatus unclear. Distribution unknown according to WERMUTH (Tierreich). Not listed by Liner 2007, nor by SMITH & TAYLOR 1950. Species inquirenda fide WERMUTH 1969: 12. 
EtymologyA patronimic after Mr. Richard Owen from the College of Surgeons from London.
