CommentSynonymy mostly after PETERS & DONOSO-BARROS 1970, WERMUTH 1965.

Distribution: Not in Costa Rica fide SAVAGE 2002 and SAVAGE & BOLANOS 2009. PETERS & DONOSO-BARROS 1970 also report the species from Colombia where it has actually not been found fide F. Castro, pers. comm.). Not in Nicaragua fide Sunyer et al. 2014. 
EtymologyNamed after Richard Richardson Mole (1860–1926), British collector active in Trinidad and Tobago.
