Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyThis name honors the late Doris M. Cochran, Division of Herpetology at the United States National Museum from 1919 to her retirement in 1968. She was officially given the titles Assistant Curator in 1927, Associate Curator in 1942, and Curator in 1956 (Adler, 1989).
