Distribution	US Virgin Islands, St. Croix, Green Cay, Buck Island Type locality: Good Hope, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands (however, S. beattyi appears not to occur at the stated type-locality). seamani: St. Croix; Type locality: Ca. 0.5 mi. E Mt. Fancy, St. Croix, U. S. Virgin Islands.

Types	Holotype: UMMZ 80567 Holotype: MCZ 81056, an adult male, collected on 7 August 1965 by David C. Leber and Richard Thomas. Paratypes: AMNH, KU, MCZ, UF, INHS (= UIMNH), USNM [seamani]
