Types	Holotype: BMNH 1946.8.15.11 (formerly 1915.10.31.130), Mimika River, Dutch New Guinea, collected British Ornithological Union Expedition.

Comment	Preliminary entry. Current status/name unclear. Abundance: Rare. This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024.
Etymology	Named after the type locality.
