Diagnosis | Diagnosis: This species is most similar to c1'07lSi from the Solomon Islands, derooyae, jeudi, and leptofasciatus (a new species described below) from New Guinea, and maindroni from New Britain in having both a relatively high number of longitudinal scale rows around midbody (34 or > ) and prefrontals that meet medially as the modal condition, but it differs most conspicuously from the crossbanded individuals of these species- in having faint thin black crossbands separated by equally thin grey interspaces instead of relatively conspicuoua thin light crossbands separated by wide dark interspaces.
