Distribution	Indonesia (Irian Jaya), Papua New Guinea (Sepik River, Sermowai River). See map in Greer 1973. Type locality: unnamed mountain at an elevation of 1570 m in the region of the Sepik River below 5° latitude (fide Greer 1973). beauforti: Papua New Guinea (Irian Jaya); Type locality: Parana valley, NW New Guinea.

Etymology	Named after Dr. Leonhard Schultze-Jena (1872-1955), a German geographer, zoologist, botanist, philologist, and ethnographer. He was Professor of Geography at Philipps-Universität Marburg (1913-1937) who travelled to New Guinea and Central America.
