Comment | Originally described as Liocephalus formosus by BOULENGER 1880: 43. Replacement of the name was necessary because L. formosus became a junior secondary homonym of Scelotrema formosum when both taxa were combined into Stenocercus (fide FRITTS 1974 and TORRES-CARVAJAL 2000). Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024. |
