CommentSynonymy: Stenocercus angulifer hs been previously synonymized with S. aculeatus (e.g. by BURT & BURT 1931 and PETERS & DONOSO-BARROS 1970) but revalidated by TORRES-CARVAJAL 2007. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin angulifer, bearing corners or angles, angular. [“...vom Hinterkopf bis oberhalb des Afters sieben nach vorne offene, V-förmige, dunkle Querbinden...“]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
