CommentSympatric with C. carrioni and S. iridescens. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin limitaris, that is on the border. [“...Limitaris is Latin meaning “on the border,” referring to the distribution of the species in the borderlands between Ecuador and Peru...”]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
