Type locality: "Cocuyas de Veraguas, New Grenada" (= Cocuyas, Provo Veraguas, Panama).

EtymologyNamed after Latin reticulatus, made like a net, net-like, reticulated. [“...Anteriorly the scales are edged with darker, presenting a reticulated appearance...”]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
