CommentDistribution: Not in Pakistan fide KHAN 2002 (pers. comm.). Records of Cyrtopodion/Tenuidactylus fedtschenkoi from India (Sharma 2002) are likely to represent members of the ‘Cyrtopodion’ aravallense complex (Agarwal et al. 2014). Not listed for Iran by Anderson 1999, Lizards of Iran. 
EtymologyNamed after Alexei Pavlovich Fedtschenko (or Fedchenko) (1844-1873), a zoologist and geologist who graduated from Moscow University. He was also a naturalist and explorer of Central Asia. He died while climbing on Mont Blanc.
