CommentType species: Tetralepis fruhstorferi BOETTGER 1892: 125 is the type species of the genus Tetralepis BOETTGER 1892.

Abundance: very rare species known from only a dozen or so specimens (see list of known specimens in Septiadi et al. 2023: Table 1). 
EtymologyNamed after Hans Fruhstorfer, German collector.
