CommentColor: Subadult olive brown above, greyish white below; adults uniform black.

Habitat: Montane Forest, fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018) 
EtymologyNamed after Karl Patterson Schmidt (1890-1957), American herpetologist who died from a Boomslang bite (Dispholidus typus; see Davis 1957 and RESETAR & VORIS 1997 for biographical notes).
